The Kingdom is Coming - Stop Waiting

I hear lots of people saying they are waiting until X date to do a fast, or dedicate themselves to Yah. The time is now, not later. We don't know how much time we have.

Mark 1:15 14 Now after that John was put in prison, Yeshua came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

In sharing my beliefs about the signs around us that are coming to fruition, a person I was speaking to cut me off by saying, "Well, people have said he's coming back, and the end is near my whole life, and I refuse to live for something that never happens."

Just a few moments before this, the same person was attempting to prove to me that she has her own relationship with The Most High and doesn't need my guidance because he talks to her, and she believes in nothing but his voice to her. She told me that no scriptures I give her will make her believe God needs her to change because he knows her heart and thinks she is just fine without repentance and doing anything different in her life.

This same person goes to bars and nightclubs, drinks profusely, has "partners" outside marriage, and goes to rap and pop concerts for her form of fun. She bought herself a bible in a year book for Christmas, but after the first month, she stopped reporting on progress. But she hears God tell her she is doing just fine and will be headed to Heaven when she is done with this life.

When I hear someone like this tell me that they don't want to live for Yeshua coming back, I understand that they believe living for the world is better. Living for Yeshua coming back is not a punishment but a gift. We live knowing our king is surely returning and will bring gifts to those who have proven themselves worthy and recompense to those who have been oppressive to his people.

Even those who believe he's not literally coming back but bringing a new consciousness have the gift of knowing that they are putting themselves in a position to receive the greatest wisdom of the universe thanks to what Yeshua did for us. They are living FOR something great and not viewing the Kingdom of Heaven as something to be annoyed by.

Most recently, a man of God who is demonstrating deep faith by following his conviction to move across the globe for Yahuah's calling told me he was waiting until October (4 months into the future at that time) to do something he felt he needed to do to be truly ready for his calling. I urged him that whatever he felt was in the way of his calling needed to be done now because we don't know how much time we have at any given moment. If he puts something on your heart to get done, it must be treated as urgent unless he gives a date or timeline.

Why do I feel this way? Many think that behaving as if Yeshua could come back at any time means we're not living. I believe living for him is living for the first time. If the apostles told us the kingdom was at hand all those years ago, then we are most certainly closer now rather than further away. The test we are experiencing allows us to demonstrate our faith by showing Yah that we don't give up on him just because it appears to have been a long time in our perception. Yah exists outside of time because he's the creator of all that is in existence. We live in time, but he does not.

It is strange to have to maintain a life in this world while also maintaining a separate spiritual life. We typically work a job that involves lots of politics, responsibility, and the need to look normal. We desire friendship and community, which also makes it challenging to go all-in with Yah. Being set apart for an entire lifetime feels like a challenge and not a gift. But if we understand that it truly is a gift to be set aside for The Most High for all time, we can feel satisfied with this life.

We never know how long our life will be. We never know the moment when Yeshua will show up, and having him stand before you in mid-sin doesn't feel right either. The best way to live, in my opinion, is as if he could show up any day and be ready.
