As someone who was led to learn about healing modalities for the skin, I have been able to understand that there is no need for all of the products we put on our skin. We spend hundreds of dollars on products that do little to benefit us and harm us instead.
What The Most High has led me to at this time is an understanding that my skin is an important part of my body and an entry point for managing my health. Over the past year, he has completely transformed both my diet and skincare routine.
For my skin, I use authentic African black soap made from ash and unrefined shea butter. That's it. No additional products are needed on a daily basis. I use that black soap in my scalp as well to cleanse dry skin and haven't had an issue with dry, itchy scalp or dandruff since starting this routine. The Shea Butter must be unrefined because the refining process removes the natural healing properties of the oils and leaves only the hydrating properties in it.
I now eat only food in its most natural state, including grains that are not baked and processed, such as bread. I eat whole fruits and vegetables and separate my foods by food group to ensure I don't create inflammation in my body when I eat. I eat my meat as its own meal and use veggies only as a seasoning for the meat, but I now know it creates inflammation when eating meat with the meal. I also now eat meat just 1-3 times per week and not with each meal or throughout the day. This is how the Father instructed me to eat. All of us at some point in our walk with him will begin to change in this way, because he wants us healthy and strong for the battle at hand.
For our skin, we need to reduce our interaction with chemicals and unnatural products and introduce things that replenish and heal us.
In my prayer time, I am able to journal directly from the Father's voice. He has shared many things with me, including a recipe for a skincare regimen to heal common problems. The recipe is anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal, and antibacterial. I'm sharing this recipe below, along with the benefits of each ingredient, so you can understand why it helps.
In an 8-ounce glass container, mix the following:
4 oz Castor Oil
4 oz Olive Oil
10 drops Frankincense Oil
10 drops Tea Tree Oil
10 drops Bergamot Oil
10 drops Myrrh Oil
The benefits of each ingredient:
Castor Oil: Known for its moisturizing properties, Castor Oil can help hydrate and soften the skin. It is also believed to have anti-inflammatory properties and can be soothing for the skin.
Olive Oil: Olive Oil is rich in antioxidants and vitamins, making it a good moisturizer for the skin. It is also believed to have anti-aging properties and can help protect the skin from damage caused by free radicals.
Frankincense Essential Oil: Frankincense is known for its calming and grounding effects. It is believed to have anti-inflammatory properties and can help promote relaxation and reduce stress.
Tea Tree Oil: Tea Tree Oil is well-known for its antibacterial and antifungal properties. It can help cleanse the skin and reduce acne and other skin infections.
Bergamot Essential Oil: Bergamot is often used in skincare products for its refreshing and uplifting scent. It is believed to have antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, making it beneficial for the skin.
Myrrh Essential Oil: Myrrh is known for its healing properties and has been used for centuries to treat wounds and skin infections. It is believed to have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, making it beneficial for the skin.
This recipe can be used on your scalp, genitals (exterior skin), body, and feet. When you try this oil on your body, you will find that some of the ingredients tingle, as this is how they heal and remove the infections that cause things like acne and spots.
What this recipe helps with:
Dry Skin: The moisturizing properties of Castor Oil and Olive Oil can help hydrate dry skin and restore moisture.
Eczema: The anti-inflammatory properties of Castor Oil, Olive Oil, Frankincense, and Myrrh may help reduce redness, itching, and inflammation associated with eczema.
Psoriasis: The anti-inflammatory properties of Castor Oil, Olive Oil, Frankincense, and Myrrh may help soothe the skin and reduce the symptoms of psoriasis.
Acne: The antibacterial properties of Tea Tree Oil can help combat acne-causing bacteria, while the anti-inflammatory properties of the other oils can help reduce inflammation associated with acne.
Fungal Infections: The antifungal properties of Tea Tree Oil can help treat fungal infections such as athlete's foot or ringworm.
Minor Cuts and Scrapes: The wound-healing properties of Myrrh Essential Oil can help promote healing and reduce the risk of infection in minor cuts and scrapes.
Stress-Related Skin Issues: The aromatherapy benefits of Frankincense and Bergamot Essential Oils can help reduce stress, which may in turn improve certain stress-related skin issues such as acne or eczema flare-ups.
This recipe can be used as a one-time treatment to heal the skin or regularly, a few times a week, to maintain healthy skin.
